Driftwood? or??? lol - kindof confused - but LOVE that huge piece of driftwood you have - it looks awesome! |

There is also a female in there (you can see her in the pic of the 10, she is underneath the male, like a white blob). She's young and hasn't quite gotten her colours yet, all she has is a patch of iridescent green on her gill cover (like the male), but she is already pregnant. I will soon add another female and some kuhli loaches. The plants are fake except for the 4 Java ferns. I plan on removing the fake ones and adding small pieces of driftwood to attach the ferns too and then getting some Java moss. The little piece of terrcotta in the middle will be turned into a java moss ball. The album of the 80 is in chronological order. The one with the big white rocks is the current one, it is only 3 days old. I changed all the sand (it's playsand in the first 3 pics, then for the rocks layout, I changed it to pool filter sand cause the playsand was too dirty) and bought 61.7lbs of Tufa rock (153$!!!). Soon I will remove the Pleco and the 5 Comets that have been there since the start (last X-mas) and get some Mbuna cichlids. As for the big driftwood, I liked it too, but it was full of tannins, and the water was realy tea-coloured, then I changed my mind to Africans and replaced it with rocks. So now im debating wther I should sell it or keep it in case I want it later. |

I personally like the female better, she has more personality, she comes right up and nibbles my figner, he sort of hangs behind her, a bit more nervous, but he is nicely coloured. But personality-wise, nothing beats the Comets. They are HILARIOUS! They'll come right up to the surface as soon as you open the hood, and if you put your hand in the rub againts it like a cat does to your legs. The Common Pleco is pretty funny too. I'll drop in an algae wafer and the Comets usually get to it first, but then the Pleco comes to investigates and then chases them off and grabs his wafer and lays there sucking on it even though the Comets are pecking him all over. |
