My son won a pair of small rams at our fish club mini-auction yesterday. Not great pics but I was impressed at the good coloring they were showing just after being added to the tank:

but how many of these little guys can be kept together? i have 2 in my big tank and was thinking about adding a couple more.

My pH is actually high-ish for keeping them, or at least for breeding. I have to work on adjust that.

As far as how many I guess it depends on tank size, hiding places, tank-mates, and if you're interested in breeding them and keeping fry.

Years ago I kept 4 in a 29g community tank without problems.

well i've had no problems with them and the others within my 150g and have plenty of places for them. so i think what i may do is add 2 more and see how they react

I know someone on this site that keeps them in high PH & they even breed.

I'm hoping for that kind of luck as I have a high PH.
