Sheesh jim......you sure went to a lot of trouble for that tank! Was it worth it? I mean, can you see the fish inside? That cave on the left sort of goes along with the temple thing & I'm thinking that background looks good with it too. I would have liked straight on shots though.

I'm not sure what to think it. It's definitely different! The more I look at it, the more it's growing on me though. What is that long black thing in there though along side that left cave....it's distracting?

It looks great. Really creative, it's like a real ruins, only miniature, and in an aquarium...

Which side Patty? you mean by the Java fern? Thats the retaining wall It will be covered in Java moss pretty soon. As for no straight on shots, I have about 5 feet between the front of the tank and a wall. So I cant take any straight on shots that I have been able to figure out.

I like it, lots of hidey spots for the fish

It reminds me of when I first joined FP, guppys, gouramis in a 29g, and oscars in my 90. The 29 had a tunnel just like the one on the right in your tank and a rock terrace above it (covered in ugly red gravel) The clown loach loved the tunnel and would nap on it's back in there

I've grown up so much since then...

I fully agree with superlion

The ruins work really well the way you have them mostly covered. Will be good to see how the plants grow in and fill it out.

Might consider changing to a dark blue background though, although the background isn't too bad, and if you let the back glass get covered with algae like mine is you'll probably be fine

^_^
