Here are just a few pictures of the Cherry Shrimp in my dorm tank. My camera is very crappy.

These ones were taken with the camera in a different mode for some reason:

I've never heard of anyone being scared of aquarium shrimp...

Here's one of the Amanos sharing the cucumber with a few snails:

The Amanos seem to be more camera-shy than the Cherries - they usually run and hide as soon as they see the camera coming. The Cherries, on the other hand, couldn't care less about having their picture taken.

I know little about them, but sure wouldn't want one of them crawling on my hand!

It looks like a big ugly bug...............like if I saw something like that crawling on the floor, I would holler at hubby to come get it out! Just like I do now when a june bug gets inside. I don't mind snakes or small spiders but big ugly bugs, yes!

My upside down catfish are getting big & with those long barbels or whatever they're called, they remind me of big ugly bugs too now. Creepy!

Each to their own I guess.

Great pictures! The more I see pics of Cherry Shrimp, the more I want them. I'm thinking about putting them in a 2.5g planted tank.....I think they are quite cute.

Yeah, I probably like the little shrimp better than the school of Trigonostigma hengeli I have in there. They are more interesting to me, I guess because these are the first non-filter-feeding shrimp I've had.

They were only like $3.50 each, so I'm guessing the price of them must have come down recently. Whenever I used to see them on my fish lists at work, they were always like $3.00 wholesale.

Cherries are relatively cheap nowadays because they are such fast breeders. They can go as low as 2ish bucks, if not less, even not-wholesale, depending on the store.
