Very nice lil guy. Looks like he is in great health.

Doubt it's an L190 though. The rust in the fins is more indicative of L027.

Awww well I'm glad at least one of them made it through for you. I wish I had a small plec instead of the big one I have. But then I didn't pick it out.
One of the small inconveniences of having a husband, I suppose.

Could be, as markings are not a reliable way of IDing Royals. That is unless you start talking about the spotted belly of the L330. However it is pretty uncommon for a 190 to have that much rust coloration in the fins. Not to mention the common white marking in the tail fin should be more predominant in a 190.

Did the folks over at plecofanatics give you the 190 ID?

Either way he is a very handsome specimen.

What happened to the other one? Royal starvation?

Yes the folks at the Plecofanatics agreed with me that it's a L190.The other one was in pretty bad shape, skinny like a skeleton, sunken in eyes and stomach,i did try to get them healthy but nothing helped!..the one died after the first day i got him so i called the lfs and he gave me one more Royal(the pic above). That fella is doing very well.
