bensaf Fish Master Posts: 1978 Kudos: 1315 Registered: 08-Apr-2004 | Had a few problems with the new small tank and basically tore it down and started again. The 2 female bettas turned out to be a male and female so had to split them up. The female is triving in the big tank and loves it and the male seems to happy as heck in his own 5gals and is very very active, always hunting and snooping. The original plan to not use a filter fell by the wayside as the water was stagnating within a day so put in a very small internal filter which gives some nice circulation and keeps the water sparkling. The original substrate was a disater so that came out and i put in some dark local tropical clay. Couldn't resist going for a minature jungle look so it's more densly planted. Still not sure if I like this look better or not. bensaf attached this image: Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
