I was given these guys by a crappy old fish shop that was closing down, they had been kept with some tetras that were fin nipping them, and they all had fungus and bacterial issues, but two and a half months later , I can safely say they appear to be doing great now. They were black and striped when I got them, and the blue female only has one eye, but she's still beautiful to me. The male in particular looks like a different fish, he was a floater when I got him, with no will to live, now look at him!

They are a bit fat from the uber calorie diet of live foods ive been giving them to aid recovery, and give them enough nutrients to replace damaged fins, but im backing off on that now.

You got the fish thumb LHG! Those are some of the most colorful bettas I've ever seen.

They may be fat but beatiful!! Nothing a week or two of atkins diet and some laps around the pool wont cure...LOL
