River Tank Update | |
Joe Potato Fish Addict Kind of a Big Deal Posts: 869 Votes: 309 Registered: 09-Jan-2001 | Well, lo and behold, my LFS's have finally decided to come into the 21st century. I've just seen my first BN and Otos locally, as well as bumblebee gobies, puffers, and things of this nature. But, for me, the ultimate find was the ever elusive Hillstream Loach. Now, some of you may remember a few months ago I converted my 38 gallon into a river tank specifically for hillstream loaches. Today, I found them, and at 2.99 a pop, much cheaper than the $5 plus $25 shipping I would have found online. So, I present, for your viewing pleasure, my updated river tank, complete with very grainy pictures! I added another dozen white clouds and 4 hillstream loaches, as near as I can tell, all different species, possibly spanning two or more genera. Also, I added some more plants and a rather makeshift CO2 system to combat some nasty cyano that I'm fighting right now. So, again, all I ask is that you take a moment of your time and validate my existence by looking at some very poorly taken pics with a digital camcorder of one boy's dream to rule the world. Or at least one small portion of it. Joe Potato |

What's the temp at? If it's too warm they won't last more than a few months. If it's too warm you might want to invest in a cooling system in your lights. Have fun |

I'm still working on the fourth one. Also, I just realized I didn't take a wide shot of the entire tank. I'll do that tonight. Joe Potato |
