Previously, on Joe Potato's Tank Adventures:

Original Thread. Pics near the bottom, you just have to look for them.

Well, it's been going for about a month and a half now, and since I've been at college, it's been about a month without any maintenence (plant trimming, etc.) My parents are home to feed and fertilize the tank, but that's about all I want them to do with it. When I'm home for spring break (3ish weeks), I'll do a good trim and cleaning.

Yesterday, my father sent me some updated pics:

I'll grab some better ones when I'm home.

Enjoy.

Looks like the plants are growing pretty well Mr. Potato. A good trimming and it will look very good.

Thanks Jim.

To be honest, this is really the first time I've had success with plants. Up until now I've had an aquatic brown-thumb.

Or, heck, maybe I should just give the credit to my parents. They're the ones taking care of it right now!

Yeah, the gouramis are pretty. Unfortunately, they're now both dead.

Not quite sure why. On the plus side, my parents tell me the corys are out and about a lot more now that there aren't any gourmais in the tank. So, gotta look on the bright side.

Personally, I love all the overgrowth. It makes it look more real to life to me.
