The rotala and some plants are leaning because I left the tank light off all day and they were going toward the next tank over. The red things on the tank floor are bloodworms- just fed fish. And obviously I have a ton of MTS which bothers me. |

Seems many of your plants are low-light ones such as Anubias, so I'm just curious. I'm trying to get into planting right now, and with all my new plants I'm hoping in two weeks they're still all alive, lol. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

Dark substrate also looks good ...which is saying something as I don't generally like the darker ones . Well done mate ...looks fantastic . Garry |

RNJ_Punk Big Fish Cory Fanatic Posts: 395 Kudos: 114 Votes: 137 Registered: 12-Nov-2006 | Shingami- My lighting is a 130 watt coralife fixture. I like it alot. Garry- Thanks for the compliment. However, soon the scape will be changing up a little. I am going to add another larger peice of DW in the left side just like the right. And I am going to fill in the gap with some sort of foreground ground cover. |

Right now it looks almost like two separate scapes in the same tank, and bringing it all together will be great. Also I'm not sure about the imposing pennywort leaning off to the right; perhaps rather have it start from the right side and flow towards the center. But then again it's your tank so you can do what you want. I'm no Amano so it's not like my opinions on scape matter any more than yours do. Looks like I won't be able to get plants like yours without getting a new fixture, lol. The combined wattage on my 125 gallon is only 120 watts, which is close but not even as much as yours, on a tank that's over twice as large. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |
