Tank revamp... again | |
kitten Fish Guru Meow? Posts: 2266 Kudos: 2194 Votes: 19 Registered: 18-Nov-2003 | A while back I posted pics of what I was calling something like "my silly, colorful tank." Yeah, that idea didn't last long. While it was fun, I was just having problems with it, and truthfully, couldn't stand the sand anymore. I tore it down and completely replaced everything. The only thing that remains from the previous setup is the java moss covered driftwood and uh... the java fern windelov. Before: After: Picture's not so hot on the last one... I was too impatient to wait until nightfall. I can't get a decent picture of that tank unless the room is COMPLETELY dark. Stupid reflections. This was the only angle that didn't get me REALLY horrid pictures. It gives you an idea, though... Edit: Oh, yeah, and need to find a background now. Something brighter than the black construction paper I'd put on before... Makes the tank too blah. Last edited by kitten at 23-Sep-2005 12:42 ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |

I bought the last two of that grassy plant from the store... I can shop about to see if I can get more. But yes, I do agree, that needs to be filled in. bettachris - Noticed that, eh? I like the little girls... they're all pink cambos, but each one is a little different. There's actually betta girls in the first picture... or there were some in the tank at the time, anyway. ~Meow. It's a goofy sized tank (12 gallons, same footprint as a 10 though), so I'll likely have to cut down a taller background. Would be nice to find something with a SUBTLE pattern. Of course, background shopping is like purse shopping... you go to ten different stores and still can't find EXACTLY what you want. I think that's a strictly girly thing. *snickers* ~Meow.
