Absolutely gorgeous! I had a male who looked VERY similiar to your boys and he changed colors like that as well. I ADORE the marbles!

Oh... you can send one of them to my house if you ever bore of them. LOL!

One of those marbles (in one of the earliest photos in the time frame sequence) had markings on the fins that looked as if it partly originated from Butterfly Betta stock. Any word on the pedigree of your fishes?

By the way, I have an old 1970's TFH article on fancy Bettas. Which contained some interesting notes. It would be interesting to see what a similar article on today's fancy Bettas would be like. And where in the lexicon of Betta typology your fishes stand with respect to the plethora of standards that doubtless abound these days.

If you wish, I could mail you a transcript of the article.
