Unusual White Cloud | |
Natalie Ultimate Fish Guru Apolay Wayyioy Posts: 4499 Kudos: 3730 Votes: 348 Registered: 01-Feb-2003 | I found this at work today, a particularly beautiful white cloud. It looks almost like normal one, but it has bright yellow dorsal and anal fins, and its body looks like someone sprinkled gold dust on it. It's not the normal golden white clouds, as though have are semi-albino and have pale bodies. This one is nowhere near albino, and still has a brown body (with the gold iridescences). The fish was mixed in with a shipment of normal white clouds, so I think it might be some kind of mutation that caused this as opposed to an intentionally-bred trait. I had to buy it, but I put it in my sister's tank as she's obsessed with white clouds. Has anyone ever seen one like this? I'd get up on breeding that sucker right away. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

She has other white clouds, and another tank filled of with young white clouds that she bred. We might take those to the store and clear it out for breeding the gold one.
