My apologies for taking so long for those who have been waiting. I still have not cleaned my tanks & gotten them ready for pic. taking. Someone mentioned they thought it would be interesting to see the tanks before I cleaned them & then again afterward. I tried my best to get good pics, but just could not do it. So I will just have to post what I could get. When I get them cleaned up I will post again & hopefully the lighting will be better (from missing hornwart & more water added) & I will have a more steady hand. I will even read the inst. book again if I have to in order to get decent pics for you.
My deepest apologies for crappy pics, but I spent the better part of yesterday trying to take them & today trying to figure out how to upload them, cause I forgot how from before.

I even resized the pics to message board size.....but apparently I can't even do that either!
SORRY!

Don't be sorry, I'm liking the tank. Looks like a happy place for the fish Can you say JUNGLE ? lol

The moss is growing for you too

The vals on the left are looking healthy. What's type of elodia/egeria in the middle there ?

Ok I think I'm going to get a bit of tank work done too now... er.... In a min, or two, or three, LOL.

nice looking tanks patty! looks like you need an algae eater of some sort in the 55 to keep those rocks clean and looking like the BG.

it also appears that eh swordtails or platies in the 20g have multiplied...

looks god, but thay do need minor clean ups...

THANKS FOR THE PICS.... (finally...

You're right MossMan......the hornwort has taken over my tanks making them look jungly.
I'm thinking the moss is too stringy. Maybe it's cause I have low light on that tank?
The vals on the left are looking healthy. What's type of elodia/egeria in the middle there ?

In the 55g. tank I only have two plants in the middle section. The very middle is anacharis, between the rocks & then hygrophila polysperma is toward the right side, in front of a couple rocks.

I have cleaned the 55g. & I'm currently in the process of cleaning the 20g. long, so yeah, I know where you're coming from on the procrastination comment.
-----------------
Thanks coltsfan..........in the 20g. long I have WAAAAY too many platies & 3 peppered cories, not counting all the unwanted snails. Everything just keeps breeding. Going to haul all the platties to a fish store & get a few guppies instead, I think.
-----------------
Brandeeno, thanks also. Do you think there is an algae eater that will clean my rocks? I know little about them.
----------------
Garry........I will keep some of the hornwort in the back of the 20g. to form a background. I don't know if I want any planted in my 55g. as I didn't think about it. But I will consider it. As far as the camera goes.....I think the pics didn't turn out as good this time cause I was standing up with no support for my arms. I had to stand to raise the camera above the light level that was shinning, due to the tanks not being full of water. I apparently don't have a steady hand. Normally I just sit at eye level & rest my arms on my knees. Also they came out dark cause the hornwort was blocking most of the light going into the tank. I'm sure the next pics will come out much better. But thanks for the offer of help.

Lush and excellent.

IMO, though, the backgrounds kind of detract from the simple beauty of the plants+rockwork. Maybe a plain black bg would be more suitable?

Awwww thanks guys! I'm all better now!

I'm sorry I've not been on this site much. I've gotten caught up in the Florida revival that is on tv & the net live twice a day. Now my tanks need cleaning again!

I'll not make any more statements about when or if I will take more pics. We'll just have to wait & see.
