Any technical input will still be appreciated. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

When shooting under incandescent (bulb) light anything white will look white under the incandescent setting. The presets are the ones that most people shoot under...if you have a manual white balance that's the best one to use....set it by following the directions in your manual, and use a plain white sheet of paper under the light you'll be shooting under. In the case of shooting your tank, use something white and waterproof . ^_^ Current Contest Rules Last edited by Babelfish at 14-Dec-2004 12:23 |

I think the manual option is actually called the preset on my camera, where a little box pops up and you kind of take a picture, then it renders the light into a white color. This photography thing is way more complicated than I originally thought. I've taken about 200 shots trying to get the colors/lighting/focus etc. all right for the AQ contest. I know it isn't about the quality of the picture, but I think it helps the judges see what the tank really looks like. On second thought, Maybe I DON'T want the judges to know what my tank really looks like. *sends in a blurry pic* Last edited by mattyboombatty at 14-Dec-2004 14:05 Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |
