No co2 is not nessesary for this tank.

You will have fun at AGA looking at all of the beautiful tanks that have been in contests over the years.

Do you use co2?

Basicaly I followed the advice to get as large a tank as you could afford or had space for. I went to the store and bought the largest tank they had. I mainly set it up by following the advice in this and other websites. I'll certainly look at that site for ideas for my next tank which will be much larger still.

In fact, just for the heck of it you oughta put that in the AGA contest

Choose Aquascaping Contest from the link and look at some of the tanks through the various years. If anything, it will give you more ideas.

I want to be a fish in Taksans tank

Being your first tank, what compelled you to go so big? Have you had prior exposure to people with fish tanks? Or, did someone help you to set it all up. If so, lucky you

that is a 265 gallon tank, not a 150 gallon tank.

Yes I have no interest in Reef tanks ..... the real reef is only a 2 hour boat ride away.

God help me this hobby is addictive

It definitely is. I can easily spend $150 at the LFS every week.

Thanks to FishProfiles.com I now have my first ever fish tank fully operational and stocked !
After seeing a nice tank in a doctors office I decided that I would investigate setting up a tank of my own.
Thanks to the helpful articles here I gained a great deal of insight into how to do it right so I could avoid the pitfalls that many novices make. I like the look of the Jebo curved glass tanks and decided that I would go for broke and buy the biggest one. I decided I wanted a fully planted tank so I paid careful attention to the substrate and lighting required to encourage plant growth. I followed the articles here on cycling and stocking fish and found some great advice on dealing with the few envitable but relatively minor issues such as algae and water quality during the cycling stage. Now finaly some 4 months later my tank is fully stocked and I havern't lost a single fish. I think I've found a great new hobby and everyone who comes to the house loves the tank. Thanks to all of you guys for helping me do it right the first time.
Now I'm thinking about getting a custom 3 meter Jebo and doing it all again !

That tank is beautiful; I can't believe it's your first!

It's a surprisingly refreshing feeling to see sombody starting their first tank with live plants. Your fish will thank you for it by showing brighter colors and better health.
