Is your wife out of town? So, do I need to make an appointment to see your tanks IRL in Dec/Jan? -P |

So from my simple point of view, your tank is very impressive. I like how it's sloped and how you used so many plant varieties without it looking like a salad. Nice contrasts in plant types, and each third of the tank is interesting in it's own way. I should consider myself lucky if my tank winds up half as good. The Amazon Nut... |

That really is beautiful. I think Amano refers to something in nature called "Random Disorder" It's the beauty of nature without any real stringent control, I believe your tank has some of that. Since you've brought up the master, my only critism is the number of plant species. I believe you have alot for an Amano type tank. Nevertheless you have made me proud to be your nephew. My Scapes |

I love the contrast between the shapes and colors of the plants. I must concur with Ingo's points though. There is no real focus in the scape. When I look at the complete photo my eyes wander a bit, first through the center part and then they end up looking at the left and right borders, which still need to fill in a little. I'm sure most of the equipment will be hidden behind plants in a couple of days to a week, but the filter output right in the middle I would move if I were you. It's staring you right in the face Make another photo in a couple of days when the plants are settled in their new position, I'm sure it will make a difference. You're nearly there Best, Martin |

LITTLE_FISH ***** Little Fish ***** Master of Something Posts: 7303 Kudos: 1997 Votes: 670 Registered: 20-May-2005 | ]:|]:|]:| That’s plain evil, how do you dare to post a tank like this one when tetratech and I are struggling to get anything going right. It is plain gorgeous, what can I say. So in order to provide any criticism at all I will have to be a nitpicker (and do it in list format as well ), so forgive me for that: - If the tank has a focal point at all, then it is in the middle of it, which (in my opinion) is not the right place - You should close that narrow end all the way to the right where one can see the “hardware” - The rocks on the right hand side clash with each other as they are very different types But this criticism is only applicable to the extremely advanced scapers, and I consider you one of them. I love the mainly green colors and how the plants build up gradually in height towards the back. It was certainly worth the 10 hours that you spent on it. Is it possible to see a shot before the change? Also, please give us some technical data, like size and light, etc. Love it, Ingo |

I'll post a pic later when the stems have filled out and I trim and tidy the little things. bensaf attached this image: Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
