I feel like I've been waiting for ages They shipped and acclimated well, and they are the neatest looking and acting fish I realized they would be small, but not how small. I love the vertical stripes and blue eyes Obviously they're still a bit shy so when I approach the tank they swim into the shells...then if I wait a bit they'll peek out to see if I'm still there I'm so excited Very active while still acclimating: The biggest & bravest so far; don't forget this shell is maybe1.5" across: Last edited by Theresa_M at 15-Sep-2005 10:19 ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

[link=Neptune Aquatics]http://www.neptuneaquatics.com/" style="COLOR: #99FF33[/link] They were recommended by a number of people on a shellie site I visit and also have good reviews on [link=Cichlid-Forum.com]http://www.cichlid-forum.com/index.php" style="COLOR: #99FF33[/link]. They're settling in quite nicely and did very well with the dinner-time feeding last night. Very addicting to watch too /:' ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

As far as I can tell right now, three of them still don't have stripes. I haven't seen the entire group all out at the same time very often yet though. can you post a picture of the whole tank? Here is one I took quickly this morning. It's nothing terribly fancy, this is definitely an instance where the fish make the tank, not the aquascaping. I got some nice shots last night including my avatar and this one; they very much enjoyed their first bloodworms here: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

littlemousling Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003 | Given the age/size of the fish, I think it'll be more than a few weeks. But I think you'll enjoy the heck out of them while they're growing up! -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

~jamie~ Big Fish Posts: 463 Kudos: 671 Votes: 65 Registered: 08-May-2004 | Theresa, that's where I got all of my shells too. That guy is real nice. I got my multis a few months ago, all the lil batches of fry are soooOOOOOoooo cute! you gravel vac very carefully, especially since the fry love to hang out underneath the shells. I always put the sucky tube in the tank and keep it at the top and bring it down slowly so it gives them time to realize they must HEAD FOR THE HILLS!!!! Last edited by ~jamie~ at 17-Sep-2005 18:35 |
