I used to keep my guppies in a community tank until earlier this year when I took my last very pregnant female out and put her alone in a smaller tank. Within half an hour she gave birth

Mom was called a 'metallic blue' when I purchased her; her coloring is so dark though it almost looks black. The potential father is one of two wild guppies (not Endler's) that I got for free from a lfs employee who often saves misc fry that come in shipment with other fish.

The fry were born February 10. I saved six: two look like mom, the other four I call Halloween guppies because they have the black reaf-half of the body and orange tails with black markings.
