Yes, i couldnt help myself, yesterday i went up to york to just look in petco and petsmart and to my surprise i bought 4 plants knowingly(bunch of hornwort, 2 Bolbitis ferns and 1 potted anubias congensis). I bought the biggest anubias i could find, it had 7 leaves. Heres where the surprise came, "the" anubias congensis turned out to be 2 anubias congensis. I checked to make sure the rhizome didnt break apart, thats how i know it was not one big one. I should have no lems with algae on the anubias since my black beard algae is finally dieing. Right now i have just the roots in the gravel. Or should i tie it to a rock? What do you guys most often do? Any other advice on the anubias? How much should it be growing once it gets settled in with no co2? i have the bolbitis ferns right in front of my filter since i read the like water move alot. Anything else i should know about these?

Hi,
Tie your new addition to a rock, or a piece of driftwood.
There has been some discussion that seems to point to
that family of plants do better when the roots are attached
to rocks or wood, rather than "planted" in the gravel.

My anubias is in the gravel but the rhizome is above the gravel.. It's doing well enough. I will be putting on a piece of driftwood also and it's going on top of a rock ledge that is currently bare.
