I wanted to heavily plant it but have absolutely no idea how to do it. Right now all I have in the tank is gravel and an anacharis plant. Can someone suggest some good plants. I was thinking an amazon style tank with driftwood and those amazon style plants. Any help welcome. Thanks! |

A good site for plant info is Tropica http://www.tropica.com. The swords (echinodorus) are generally easy plants to start but they consume iron so root fertilizing is important. Other easy choices are the cryptocoryne family. A good rule of thumb for lighting is: Bright = 3 watts per gallon Medium =2 watts per gallon Low = 1 watt per gallon That's just enough info to make you dangerous. Now do a "google" search for "Takeshi Amano" and dream! __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |
