Before the dormant period it was one of my healthiest, it usually throws new leaves and flowers constantly during the growing season. Before I upped the lighting on my tank from 3 wpg to 6, the new leaves were the usual bright green that they always are. Looking at it yesterday I noticed that the new growth looks like it is turning red! ![]() ![]() ![]() I have a pic, it gives a pretty accurate representation of the colour of the leaves, although I think it might be a little more red in person than it looks in the pic. ![]() Has anyone seen this before and/or have an explanation? I was thinking it was just going red because of the high light (I've only ever kept them in under 3 wpg). The new growth (no old growth there yet ![]() ![]() |

It just means that they're getting a lot more light than they need. You may notice that individual leaves don't last quite as long, but overall, it's not hurting the plant, and I personally love the color variation. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |
