![]() | Add Ferts To Speed Up Java Fern Growth? |
Brian1216![]() Hobbyist Posts: 97 Votes: 0 Registered: 28-Apr-2005 ![]() ![]() | I have a 29 gallon tank with mostly artificial plants in it except for a small Java Fern on my driftwood. It is growing slowly but is getting many daughter plants on the leaves and is getting thicker. I was wondering if i could put some ferts in to speed up the growth even more. What fertilizer would be good to use and how often should i use it? Is this unneccesary for just Java Ferns? I have about a 1 WPG light. Thanks! |

Doesn't need too much in the way of nutrients. About the only thing that will speed up growth significantly is CO2. Some current on the plant heps with overall health. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
