I have a 29 gallon tank with mostly artificial plants in it except for a small Java Fern on my driftwood. It is growing slowly but is getting many daughter plants on the leaves and is getting thicker. I was wondering if i could put some ferts in to speed up the growth even more. What fertilizer would be good to use and how often should i use it? Is this unneccesary for just Java Ferns? I have about a 1 WPG light. Thanks!

IME Flourish Excel helps speed up Java Fern growth in the absence of external CO2 addition. It should be able to get the other nutrient (NPK & micros) from feeding and regular water changes.

Java Fern is a very conservative plant. Doesn't need too much in the way of nutrients. About the only thing that will speed up growth significantly is CO2. Some current on the plant heps with overall health.

Jave fern is what I would conside as the tortise end of plants very very slow but once it get going it seems to thrive and give off many young plantlets which help to make it look bigger.
