Amano does some wonderful aquascapes. His column in Tropical Fish Hobbyist is one of my "must read" items after "The Skeptical Fishkeeper". The October issue has a full page advertisement for aqua design amano, USA!

The group sells all the neat Amano things that are referenced in the data tombstone at the end of the monthly Amano article. The online shopping section directs you to a nicely done area of substrates, fertilizers, lighting, CO2 systems...

The best part of the site is to click on the bottle of "Brighty K" to see its primary ingredients and how it is used. It is a nice diversion for a rainy day. Of course, the primary thought that goes through my head is, "Can I buy it cheaper or make it myself?"

Laura, I still prefer your column and believe every syllable that you pen. In fact, I just squeezed a dozen oranges and added the juice to my aquarium to refortify my fish with vitamin C!

Doh! I just re-read the article, I wasn't supposed to add the juice to the water!

Bob,

To my knowlede, ADG (aquarium design group), aka the Senske brothers, are the sole importer of Amano products into the US. I seriously doubt that you can make it yourself as I don't think all ingredients are listed and what not.

Jeff Senske, with whom I had the pleasure to talk a few times, and from whom the wood for my 40G is (and as such it is from Amano's ADA), will probably not be able to tell you what's in the Brighty K stuff either, even if he would know.

Bob what were you thinking?!?!?

Knowing what is in the products is one reason why I like Seachem's stuff.

BTW.....Email me back!

Wings, do you think that my tank really looks like a fruit bowl?
