Ive got a five to six inch amazon sorwd growing in about 2 inches of gravel and icluding a undergravel filter is that a problem or will I need more gravel. because amazons are deep rooters

Hi,
Generally speaking, your substrate should be between
3-4 inches. However, you state that you have a
sword plant growing in existing conditions. If that
is the case, and it is thriving (growing new leaves,
and/or runner(s)) then I'd do nothing. If you add
additional substrate, you will wind up "mini cycling"
the tank and setting everything back.
