Im looking for a very small fern to grow on my rocks. I was thinking of java moss untill I saw an ugly picture of it that looked like someone needed to trim it with a weed wacker. The tank is only a 55 gallon and about the whole back of it is full of rocks. I wanted some sort of carpet like fern on the rocks and then between them I was going to put anubia barteri. Oh and by the way, I'm hoping to put Zebra Plecos only in this tank.

Any suggestions???

Hi,

You can try Monosolenium tenerum. It's just as easy as moss, low light, low demand but looks a lot neater. Does well attached to rocks.

Do a google on the name you should be able to find pics and info.

If you are planning on rock plantings, then your sand substrate does not matter.
