Ugh, anyways I don't have a clue what it is but I got two of them for four dollars this is the bigger of the two. I did however get a tagalong which looks like it may be grass it was mostly root with a couple of little pieces of green hope it grows to something nice. http://www.cityofmist.com/halls/aquarium/images/plant/DSC00224.JPG http://www.cityofmist.com/halls/aquarium/images/plant/DSC00225.JPG http://www.cityofmist.com/halls/aquarium/images/plant/DSC00226.JPG http://www.cityofmist.com/halls/aquarium/images/plant/DSC00227.JPG On another note I started my 20 long yesterday and have started to cycle it with two paradise gourami anyone intrested in a planted brackish water aclimation tank. I prefer to shop at smaller LFS that is owned and managed by the person behind the counter. To check out if they are well informed ask a few questions that you are sure of the correct answer. Eg does this fish go with that and can they go into a small tank, or a similar question. Also ask if they are prepared to order something for you. Have a look in [link=My Profile]http:// www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/profile.asp?userid=6741" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] for my tank info [link=Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tanks]http://photobucket.com/albums/b209/keithgh/Betta%20desktop%20tank/" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Some more info on your new plant; Only plant about 1/3 of the "bananas" into the substrate or they will rot. You don't have to plant any or the "bananas" though, but the plant may get blown around by the current. The leaves' stalks will eventurally grow long enough for the leaves to reach the surface, and there they will float, a lot like a lilly. They have a very lovely flower if you get one to bloom. They require medium lighting, or about 3-4 watts/gal min. Sometimes they shoot out runners, that can be clipped and planted. You can also clip some of the floating leaves, with about 4+ inches left on it. Then just let it float for a few weeks. You will see roots start to form at the end of the clipping. Just plant the roots into the substrate and you will have another plant. There is always a bigger fish... |

Actually I was being sarcastic about the size of the fish store. My LFS though he is a bonafide Marine Biologist he carries no plants... just corals so while he will give me plenty of information on plants he just doesnt carry them. I am very excited I am really hopeing to get it to bloom, hey on that note anyone know of a plant that flowers underwater? |
