Are there any? What about salt tolerant plants? The substrate would be sand, if it matters...

Sand can pose a problem to some heavy root feeders, depending on the type of sand. Anything that compacts too much will crush the roots and prevent nutrients from reaching them. The addition of substrate digging snails, such as Malaysian trumpet snails will keep the sand bed aerated.

As for salt-tolerating plants, try looking at [link=Tropica]http://www.tropica.com" style="COLOR: #00A0AE[/link] and choosing "accepts brackish water" from the drop down menu under "species list" on the right hand side of the page.

Ok, ive found some plants, but they all say "low salt concentration". How low is low?

Thanks!

Hmm... that you'll have to ask someone elseabout... I'm assuming "normal" brackish is okay, but I've never run a brackish tank, so I can't help out. I'm sure some brackish people will wander by soon.

Good luck!

Not a lot of plants will tolerate actual brackish conditions unless they are native to river deltas or mangrove swamps. Mangrove seedlings are common for brackish tanks, but work best in a tank with no lid, with the light suspended above.
I imagine light salt to mean plants that will do okay in a tank with normal aquarium salt used as a disease and parasite deterrent, not brackish concentrations of marine salt.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...
