Can't find the formula for WPG.. | |
ginsing Small Fry Posts: 7 Kudos: 7 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Apr-2009 | Hi, I did some research here earlier and ran across a formula for figuring WPG. Should have noted the topic as now I can't find it even in search? I'm rethinking my tank and I have a Coralife 65W x 2 12,000K light. After my research here, I've learned several mistakes I made when I first tried to keep plants. I had given up long ago but now I'd like to try again. 55gal Freshwater Tropical, Emperor 500 Biowheel 8 Lemon Tetras,4 Dwarf Neon Rainbows,1 Blue Spot Gourami, 3 Clown Loaches, 1 Lemon Spotted Pleco |

I'd stick with lights in the 8800 - 10,000K range unless the 55 is non standard and 24 inches high, in that case I'd use the ones you have (12,000K).
