First of all guys im sorry i havent posted in a while, life has been very busy.

I made two changes to each of my tanks and in one case it has had a drastic effect
So I finally got new Lighting and CO2 for both my tanks. The lighting has helped kinda ( will need advice on that later) and the CO2 i used is the Co2 Bio Turbo system. Its basically like a DIY system but with a power head on the end to help create a Vacumn to pull out the Co2. However i have been loosing fish in my 10 gallon with no reason why.. i was told i need to meter the amount of Co2 but i dont know how. Can someone give me advice on this please???

Thanks for your input as always, Shane

Hi,
To figure out the CO2 saturation we measure the
pH of the tank and the KH of the tank and then
plot them on a chart like this:

http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_co2chart.htm

While many here in FP say that they have taken their
tanks above 30mg/l, you can see the recommended is from
11 to 24mg/l. The way to know if you are injecting too
much is to come into the fish room first thing in the
morning, and observe your fish just before the lights
come on. If the fish are gasping at the surface then
your CO2 saturation is way too high and should be lowered.
Additionally a functioning air-stone should immediately be
placed in the tank.
