Does anyone know where to purchase all the equipment that's reasonably priced? I've been looking online but am not sure what is a good price or not. I've seen a couple of places on aquabid.com and checked out their sites but am still confused!

are you talking about a pressurized system? if you have any places in your area that supply welding equipment or bars/restaurants, they would be a good place to start for pricing, then you can compare their prices to what you see online.

Hi,
For a bottled system you would purchase or rent the
bottles from a welding supply house or a "Beer & Tap"
supplier. The latter supply the CO2, hoses and valves
necessary for bars and restaurants to sell beer and sodas.

For the regulator, I would choose any of the aquatic supply
houses. Start with Arizona Gardens, then Drsfostersmith and Big Al's.
You want a regulator with dual gages,(high pressure and low pressure), and two valves.
One valve that reduces the bottle pressure down to a few
pounds,and a needle valve that drops the "few pounds" down
to a bubble or two a second.

jsparkman,

[link=Here]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Planted%20Aquaria/61685.html" style="COLOR: #ff6633[/link] is a link to a post that talks about Co2 systems.

And [link=Here]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Planted%20Aquaria/62698.html" style="COLOR: #ff6633[/link] is another one.

They might give you a little more info on what you should know about CO2 systems.

Hope this helps,

Ingo
