Do I just plant these plants (tie java fern to rock or drift wood) or is it really necessary to use fertilizers. If it is necessary what ferts do I need to use with these type of plants? Thank you |

The roots will anchor in the wood and eventually, the plant will cover the wood. They are considered a low light, low damand plant and your tank should be just fine with them. If you have a newly established (cycled) tank, with very few fish, then you might need to add fert. If that is the case, I'd suggest a "multiple vitamin" type fert such as liquid such as Flourish. If you have an established tank, with a normal loading, then you probably do not need to add fert. Frank ![]() -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
