My concern is slightly different. The height of the Crypt is about 20cm+ the older first leaves are the light greener with the Algae and the new and established leaves are the tall brown and slightly twisted at the edges. The plant would be just over 1yld I have noticed it has started to produce a plantlet, you can see the tip of it just in front of the top Cardinal Tetra. My question is when and how do I remove and re locate that plantlet without pulling it out. The reason for not wanting to pull it out it will disturb the small Crypt nevilli/s. It appears to be coming about 1cm away from the main clump of stems. All of their roots will most likely be around each other. Since they are so close anyways, it will just be easier to take them both out. Just be careful how you wiggle the roots out of the substrate so you do not disturb the nevilli. |

I have a few Crypts in my big tank and have found that when the plantlet is about half a Centimeter away or more the plantlet has separated from the mother plant and it can be pulled out with out to much disturbance to the mother. Hope this helps. mts.gif" border="0"> I vote do you? My Tanks at Photobucket |

Would it have a thin root like leader going from the mother plant if so once I cut that it will come out easy.
