I just bought a patch of this from my LFS... its been about 3 weeks adn the old leaves have all but died off right now... new ones are growing in thier place(very healthily)... I read that this may be because the plant was raised emersed instead of submerged... any thoughts? could it be something else? will our hero escape with his life?... sorry that last question was for a different forum I think

I don't have any experience with dwarf hairgrass, but it's not uncommon for plants to shed their leaves once they've been transplanted. Since new and healthy leaves are growing, I'd say that it's going to be fine.

And I fully expect some plant expert to come in and correct me now.

It could easly be the transplanting and getting used to the new water and lighting conditions. If it is srarting to grow it looks like it will survive for you. This is not uncommon with rooted aquarium plants.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
