Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 ![]() ![]() | Hi ya'll meant to post about this yesterday, but was kind of brain dead, ok i admit it i was totally brain dead ![]() Tomorrow is the fish auction, and last time around there were tons of plants ![]() Can ya'll help me make a list of plants that are hard to kill? 1. Lighting is low. 2. Fertilization is uh when it might dawn on me:%) 3. Substrate is sandblast gravel. (small natural stone that is smooth) 4. No CO2, or anything fancy... 5. And might I add I tend to kill plants? So what plants might ya'll suggest to try? If ya'll can help me come up with a list, I'll look for those tomorrow at the auction and try to get some more plants ![]() Thanks, Heidi "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." Sometimes sword plants can grow in low light if they have some root tabs nearby. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

It just grows no matter what else goes wrong with the tank. Algae or no algae, nutrient deficieny, green water, a week long black out.. It just keeps growing new leaves. The other 2 plants that give me the fewest problems are the crinums and the 4 leaf clover but I haven't placed crinums in low light so I don't know if they'd be a good idea. |
