You forgot tank size and whether or not you are or intend to
dose CO2.

bu tapart from that what you are adding with fertilizers is
N,P,K (and C but that is added through excel or CO2) as the
macronutrients. micronutrients there are several but Fe is the
most notable and arguably the most important of the
micronutrients.

Yes the tank size is important as well as a full water peramiters would help. I am using a Seachem Plant pack, it has three 100ml bottles, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and potassium. It is not cheap but it is very easy to use.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

That's quite a bit of light to be using without the help of CO2. I'd dose ferts slowly, as it is you don't have too many fast growers in the tank(unless the wisteria takes up half the tank), and any imbalance in nutrients with that much light will be sure to cause algae problems.

C'mon Donky, you know with all that light on your tank you're just ITCHING to add pressurized CO2

But seriously, without the CO2 you're not going to see great growth, and adding large amounts of ferts aren't going to do much good. I'd also like to add calcium as an important nutrient, especially if you have soft water...

thanx for the replies lol yeah im def itching, im planning on doing co2 but i cant find a affordable way to do it, any suggestions other than the soda bottles for diy? any good links for good but cheap c02, im prepaired to spend some money though including shipping around 250. Thats why i originally bought the lights, but the lights got lost while being shipped to me and to make a long story short i didnt get it for over 3 months, so plants died and then it finally gets in and due to christmas and birthdays dont have the money for the co2 nemore, ill stop rambling now though, the lgiths are PC on 2 strips so i only turn both them on for 4hrs and then one on for the other 6-8hrs pending on my schedule. The reason of all the slow growing lowlight is b/c of the algae i dont keep on the second light too long so not sufficent light but when i get the co2 i will be totally redoing my plant selction

if 250 is your limit you should be fine. I spent under that for my CO2 set-up from aquariumplants.com

5lb CO2 tank, empty - $69 dollars
CO2 reactor with pump - $45
JBJ regulator set (regulator, needle valve, solenoid, bubble counter and check valve included) - $82
CO2 tubing - $7

Total - 203 + shipping

Just FYI...

hey i bought pressurized just a few months back and here are my costs...

regulator (needle valve, dual gauge, solenoid, bubble counter, and a diffuser + tubing) - i belive it was around 85 with shipping from ebay... although the kit came with a diffuser, i was not able to keep in under water, because it kept slipping off the airline tube so i feed the line to my filter and it works great

5 lb tank i bought from local shop for 75, and i know somewhere out there somebody sell it for 50

thats $160, even if u want to upgrade to 10lb tank, its still well under 200.

buying the tank online usually isnt a good idea, because they come unfilled, so you'll need to get it filled, it'll cost you another 5-15 dollars depending where you live. and also shipping for these puppies are expensive due to weight and size. and sometimes the tanks come expired, so then you'll need to spend more to get it certified again and on and on...
