I have two filters, one, an Aquaclear 50 (rated between 20-50g) and a Fluval 404 rated for ???

Would it be way too much water flow if I used the Fluval 404? I don't have the spray bar return.

I would use the AC 50 but not the Fluval 404 on the 29 G aquarium. My only concern with using the Fluval is the discharge rate.

The unit is rated at 340 GPH. If you do not or are unable to reduce the flow rate of the filter, the aquarium will have some strong currents for your fish.

Just realized that the fluval has flow control.
