Although this article is house plant related, it is still relevant to aquarium plants.

A brief and interesting read.

Hi,
Welcome to FP!
When I click on that link I get an error page.
You might want to double check your address.

Hi,
Yup! that did it.
An interesting article over all. However, there are
thousands of articles on aquatic plant lighting and they
go into great detail on which types of bulbs are appropriate
for what situation.

I agree wholeheartedly with their comments about the
"grow" series of bulbs. In general, they are a waste of
money. Any bulb that has the words DAYLIGHT or SUNLIGHT
are the least expensive, are easily obtainable from nearly
any hardware store, and give off a more pleasing light.

BTW, the next time you need to edit something, simply
click on the "edit" word at the bottom of your post.
It will bring up your post where you can change wording,
edit links, or even add more information. When done editing
the post, simply click on the "edit post" button, and the
newly edited post will replace your origional one.
