If you get some thing to eat it the problem will never go away and in fact could easily get far worse. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Your algae may be caused from different water conditions than mine....I really don't know. All I know is that I have high nitrates in my well water & I'm assuming high phosphorus as well. I read that these things will contribute to hair algae. I also read that someone tried Flourish excell & it cured their algae, so I tried it & it cured mine. You should try to correct your water conditions, as I am trying to do & meantime if you want to try Flourish excell I don't see any harm in it.....but then I'm not knowledgeable in plant & algae care, so I really have no right to recommend it. All I can really say with any certainty is that it worked for me under my water conditions. ![]() |
