If you get some thing to eat it the problem will never go away and in fact could easily get far worse. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Your algae may be caused from different water conditions than mine....I really don't know. All I know is that I have high nitrates in my well water & I'm assuming high phosphorus as well. I read that these things will contribute to hair algae. I also read that someone tried Flourish excell & it cured their algae, so I tried it & it cured mine. You should try to correct your water conditions, as I am trying to do & meantime if you want to try Flourish excell I don't see any harm in it.....but then I'm not knowledgeable in plant & algae care, so I really have no right to recommend it. All I can really say with any certainty is that it worked for me under my water conditions. |
