I would also like any information on keeping the plants their natural colors and what substrate I should utilize. |

A low light tank is one that has less than 2 watts/gallon. To choose plants that fall in that category, go to this site: http://www.azgardens.com/habitats_easy.php This will give you an idea of what plants to select from, and also what they look like. You don't have to buy a "package" from these folks, although I have. The main idea is to write down the plant names, and then purchase, or trade for them as they become available. Don't buy a whole slew of them. Instead, purchase a couple or so of each, plant them where you want them, and then let them grow into the gaps. Keep your lights on for about 10-11 hours/day. This should get you started. Keep reading the various thread here you will find them a wealth of knowledge. Frank ![]() -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
