The unit I got was easy to set up and it has showm me just how easy a DIY CO2 set-up will be to do. I got the Nutrafin (Hagen) Plant Gro CO2 kit, the whole thing cost me $24.99 CDN, it came with 3 months supply of refills, the canister, tubing and the ladder diffuser. The refills are really not necessary as the ingredients are common household ingredients, the activator is yeast and the stabilizer is baking soda. It was very easy to put together. I am seeing growth in the moss on the driftwood already after just three days, it was really sparse before as Sam (Siamese Moss(algae) Eater) kept it trimmed down. I find the bubbles hypnotic to watch. "If you're afraid you'll make a mistake, you won't make anything." -Family Circus |

Does that mean you can grow all kinds of plants in there? Sure not. But can you get some nice plants to grow? Oh sure? Have fun, Ingo PS: Cup is right though, eventually you may feel the urge to get CO2, but then I would say get the 130W fixture as well ![]() ![]() |

So you say it works? Does anyone have any experiences with the Jungle CO2 Fizz Factory? ________________________________________________ I like Led Zeppelin. |

It is a great kit for beginners as well. And if you look at the DIY CO2 recipe thread, the link given explains how to do a great set-up. This is where I'm heading now that I see how easy it is, and I will already have the diffuser and tubing needed, I will just need a larger canister and a way to hold it in place. And the smaller canister may be heading to my 10g planted tank. Planted tanks are as addictive as fish keeping! "If you're afraid you'll make a mistake, you won't make anything." -Family Circus |
