Let them grow iuntil they're about an inch long, then you can easily detach them and ket them grow on their own. I didn't attache mine to rock until they were about two inches long. If they're coming up because you added CO2, you'll probably see a bunch of them. |

I dont like using ties on them till they're a bit older since I've had a few get cut in half :%). When I detached them, or they detached themselves, I lightly wrapped thread around them and made a small Java garland at the other end of the tank, kept them out of the filter. Just make sure to wrap LIGHTLY and around the stems, not between, and they should be fine. |
