Java moss rope | |
mews Hobbyist Posts: 75 Kudos: 33 Votes: 1 Registered: 25-Apr-2007 | Well this was rather interesting so I thought Id share. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2309/2315329463_e8b82321ec_m.jpg The photo shows a length of java moss rope that extends from the top to the bottom of the tank. All natural, I didnt mess with it. I have a good batch of water sprite growing and floating on the surface with its roots dangling down. I also have a mass of java moss floating around and some attached to the rock, bottom of picture. The mass got caught between the dangling roots and the moss on the rock and formed a bridge. The surface sprites got to spinning in the water current and bingo we have rope. My 5footer http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2379/2242540621_1a81dcb3c8.jpg |

Such a tall structure would certainly be nice for some of my fish two swim through, although if my Panaque swims through it the structure is done for, lol... -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |
