I never used it. I got a free 30g-35g today thats 36" long. Could I use the strip light on the tank and have 6" hanging off each side. Also its got about 80 watts, On a 30g could I do medium-high level light plants or just medium. |

However, I'll bet that it won't be long before you purchase a hood that properly fits. All that glare from the over- hanging bulb at the ends would drive me absolutely nutz!
