This might sound stupid but why not ask where you bought the plant and if they dont know ask them for a contact of their supplier and take it from there.

eureka red,

One reason could be that this plant (Ludwigia mullertii/natans, aka Red Ludwigia) is often grown emersed and the leaves it has are not suitable for under water.

Does it shed the old leaves first? Do they get enough light (even if tank has 3.2wpg, maybe it doesn’t reach the base of this plant)?

I also found some info that states that this plant tends to lose its leaves over time, I never had it so I cannot validate this.

Hope this helps,

Ingo

Hi, i have this plant in my 38g with 30w of light, it has lost some of its colour and gets a hard time from my fish but is still struggling on.

i think my temp may also be a little high (27c).
