I don't think they do. The lights are usually not much more than 1 watt per bulb, wich is pretty paltry. Not positive on this though. I don know they look cool when they're set up right!

Sorry, lunar lights are only decorative. As AZ noted, the intensity doesn't provide any benefit regardless of the wavelength. I have them on my fixture and it gives me a chance to watch the clean-up crew - very cool!
