I used to have it in my tank but it is gone now and I never got a good picture of it. Right now it is in one of the tanks at work but I am not overly worried about it. Here is a link to the stuff! 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

It's used a lot as nutrient export and hiding spots for copepods in refugiums. Basically it looks plant like, but really it's an algae. There's some really attractive saltwater macroalgaes, most of you guys would like to do a saltwater "planted" aquarium, I bet. A lot of times that stuff you linked to hitches a ride in on plants from nurseries. I see it a ton in the ludwiggia thatwe get in at work. It never seems to last too long though. For some reason I am not a round when our plants come in so I don't get to see what comes with it. 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

I've seen some pictures of saltwater tanks with macroalgae and they look pretty cool. I've also read some articles on using saltwater grasses like thouse found in the gulf in aquariums. If I were ever brave (or at least crazy ![]() Maybe tetra can pioneer the feild with his saltwater experiment. Rick See all my pictures at Google Web Albums |

I'm so used to, and enamored with, a planted tank that the tank where the macroalgae is kept would be my main tank and the other would be hidden in the cabinet... Or, perhaps I'd have them side by side and linked with hoses so both were show tanks.... Hummm... Frank ![]() -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
