Need Emersed Plant Recommendations | |

I have this neat little decorative vase holder that I bought a while back and I've put a peace lilly in the vase (same kind as they do with bettas), but as you can see, it's dying and not doing well at all. What aquatic plant could y'all recommend here? It has to be something that grows well emersed......obviously it will not be submerged. Can y'all help? "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |

Java fern is may also be grown emersed. Remember that most plants will need a rich substrate, unlike a peace lily, and that emersed foliage will take time to develop from immersed foliage. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

I think they look kinda cool, and my MIL has one in a bathroom that gets virtually no light. I don't understand how it survives but it does. |

This thing is hanging on a wall in my kitchen that doesn't get a whole lot of light....mostly very indirect sunlight. I'm not sure a sword plant (such as Amazon) would do well in that small amount of light. It would probably overwhelm that little vase if it did. I will post the exact measurements of the vase when I get back from lunch. "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |
