Does anyone have any experience with "Natural Aquarium Vital"? It is a time-released CO2 production, a carbon source, doesn't cause PH shifts, contains Laterite extract, reduces need for fertilization, no CO2 cylinders or monitoring devices needed, won't "off-gas". Allows aeration to be maintained for maximum fish holding capacity of aquarium, biologically turns excess food and waste into fertilizer, breaks down tannins, and clarifies water, non-toxic, and doesn't contain nitrates, phosphates, or silicates. I bought a bottle but wanted to check with the experts before I use it.

I have no experience with this particular Marc Weiss product. There is an interesting discussion of this product and one or two other Weiss products here:

Gosh, I think I'll leave the stuff in the cabinet! ( at least until I hear more reviews) Thanks for the link.

While some of the products might be labels as stated there, this one works, like SeaChem Excel which is the first company that introduced this product and has done more with the testing of it. SeaChem has a great rep, if not the best. But the MW product should be the same if not similar.

It's a good product for certain uses.
CO2 gas is still far superior, especially at higher light.
But this works well for lower light tanks and especiaslly smaller tanks where CO2 is less practical for the $.
