I'm pretty certain it's Bacopa. It gets a reddish color in very bright light. It may be emmersed growth also. I've heard there are some red/pink varities becoming available. Very easy to care for but more then likely the new growth will be green. If your lights good the top part may redden again. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |

It could be emmersed Rotala. It will also go pink in bright light. If it is Rotala you should see a dramatic change in the leaves, which will become long and thin and not at all round when submerssed. Bacopa leaves don't change shape much between emmersed and submersed form, it's more of a change in the texture of the leaf. For some reason the plant above looks like emmersed growth to me. How the plant behaves in the next few days (if it's Rotala you will see the change very very quickly, stuff grows like lightning). Watch to see if the leaf shape changes shape or color. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
